Course Description

This accredited course provides learners with the knowledge and practical understanding required to respond effectively to workplace emergencies and evacuations. The training focuses on emergency preparedness principles, evacuation planning, roles and responsibilities during emergencies, communication procedures, and safe evacuation practices. Learners will be equipped to follow and support emergency evacuation procedures to reduce panic, prevent injuries, and ensure safe evacuation during workplace emergencies.

  • Purpose and importance of emergency preparedness

  • Types of workplace emergencies requiring evacuation

  • Legal and organisational requirements for emergency evacuation

  • Roles and responsibilities during emergency situations

  • Emergency alarms, communication, and reporting procedures

  • Evacuation routes, assembly points, and signage

  • Procedures for assisting visitors and persons with disabilities

  • Conducting evacuation drills and simulations

  • Post-evacuation procedures and incident reporting
