Course Description

This accredited course provides learners with advanced knowledge and practical skills to provide first aid in the workplace. The training focuses on managing complex injuries and medical emergencies, advanced patient assessment, coordination during emergencies, and effective use of first aid equipment. Learners will be equipped to respond confidently to serious workplace incidents until professional medical assistance arrives.


Course Outline

  • Legal and workplace requirements for advanced first aid

  • Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider (Level 3)

  • Advanced assessment of casualties and emergency scenes

  • Advanced basic life support and CPR principles

  • Management of severe bleeding, shock, and trauma

  • Treatment of fractures, burns, and spinal injuries

  • Management of medical emergencies and unconscious casualties

  • Use and maintenance of advanced first aid equipment

  • Reporting, documentation, and handover to emergency services
