Course Description
The Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC) is designed for individuals who are required to supervise temporary works on site, in accordance with BS 5975. The course complements the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) and focuses on the supervisory responsibilities associated with temporary works.
The training provides learners with a clear understanding of the Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) role, including supervision, checking, communication, coordination, and risk management. The course aims to raise industry standards and promote a consistent, transferable level of competence across employers.
Role of the Temporary Works Supervisor
The Temporary Works Supervisor role is defined within BS 5975 and includes responsibilities related to:
Supervision and checking of temporary works activities
Issuing load and unload permits where required and where competent
Assisting the Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) with delegated duties
Ensuring compliance with company procedures and site requirements
